Data Rights & Deletion

Depending on where you live, you may have rights regarding your personal information. This notice explains how to submit and manage a request.

Available requests

Subject to applicable law and exceptions, you may request access, a copy, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, withdrawal of consent, or information about processing and disclosures. You may also object to certain processing or appeal a denied request where applicable.

How to submit a request

1. Signed-in users may use the export and deletion-request controls in Account.
2. You may email legal@usesettled.app from the address associated with your account.
3. Describe the right you want to exercise and the information or account involved.

Verification

To protect your data, we may verify account access, email ownership, identity, residency, or authorization. We will not ask for more verification information than reasonably necessary. An authorized agent may submit a request where permitted, but we may require proof of authority and direct verification with the account holder.

Exports

The in-product export is a scoped copy of first-party application data. It may not include every billing, security, fraud-prevention, operational, vendor, log, or backup record. Contact us if you need a request assessed under a specific privacy law.

Deletion

A deletion submission enters a review process; submission does not mean deletion has already finished. Approved deletion requests target active application data. Limited information may be retained where necessary for security, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, billing and tax records, enforcing agreements, backups, or legal obligations. Provider and backup deletion may follow separate schedules.

Timing and appeals

We respond within the period required by applicable law. If more time is permitted and reasonably necessary, we will provide notice. If we deny or limit a request, we will explain the basis when required. Where an appeal right applies, reply to the decision or email legal@usesettled.app with “Privacy appeal” in the subject.

No discrimination

We will not unlawfully discriminate against you for exercising an applicable privacy right.
