This policy explains how Settled uses cookies and similar browser storage. It supplements our Privacy Policy.

What these technologies are

Cookies are small text files stored by a browser. Local storage and similar technologies store information in the browser for comparable purposes. In this policy, “browser storage” includes these technologies.

Essential storage

Settled uses storage necessary to operate the Services, including security and authentication, session continuity, saved product data, referral attribution, and remembering your privacy choices. Essential storage cannot be disabled through Settled’s preference panel because parts of the Services may not work without it.

Optional analytics

Google Analytics is planned but is not active until The Settled Company LLC configures it and you affirmatively accept it through Privacy choices. If enabled later, it will help us understand aggregate page and feature usage and may receive technical browser or device information. Settled will not intentionally send account identifiers or financial values as analytics event parameters and will not use analytics for targeted advertising without first updating this policy and the available choices.

Your choices

You can accept, reject, or later change optional analytics using Cookie preferences in Settled. Withdrawing consent stops future Settled analytics events; it cannot undo processing that occurred before withdrawal. Browser controls can also block or delete storage, but doing so may sign you out, remove saved local preferences, or impair features.

Do Not Track

Settled’s analytics loader does not initialize Google Analytics when the browser’s Do Not Track setting is enabled. This is a product behavior and does not determine the legal effect of a DNT signal in any jurisdiction.

Third-party services

Authentication, payment, analytics, error-monitoring, and AI providers may use their own necessary technologies when you use the corresponding feature or visit their hosted pages. Their practices are governed by their own notices as well as applicable agreements with us.
