How referral links are identified

Near an application link or offer, we state in plain language that Settled may receive a benefit if you apply or are approved. A referral relationship does not mean an issuer sponsors, endorses, or operates Settled.

Recommendations and compensation

Settled’s comparison and recommendation calculations are intended to use the card data and preferences shown in the tool, not whether a referral benefit is available. Not every card has a referral link, and the presence or absence of compensation should not be treated as a statement about card quality.

Offers can differ

The offer available through a referral link may differ from another public, targeted, prequalified, branch, or issuer offer. Terms change frequently. Compare available offers and verify the current annual fee, bonus, spending requirement, interest rate, eligibility rules, benefits, and disclosures on the issuer’s application page before applying.

No approval guarantee

Settled is not a card issuer, lender, credit bureau, or credit-repair organization. Issuers make application and eligibility decisions. Settled cannot guarantee approval, a bonus, a credit limit, or the value of rewards.
